Waiver Practice

601A Waiver

Also known as the Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver, the 601A waiver is available to certain immigrant visa applicants who are married to U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs). The application is filed and approved prior to the applicant’s departure from the United States for his or her immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Please note that the 601A waiver would only waive the unlawful presence ground of inadmissibility.

601 Waiver

Also known as a full waiver, this application is used to waive almost all inadmissibility grounds for adjustment of status. The waiver process is complex and is labor intensive. Contact us for further information.
